KATSUICHI Yamato

A Contemporary Japanese Dining Experience Inspired by Good Fortune

Rooted in the Japanese tradition of celebrating good fortune, Katsuichi creates a contemporary dining environment where meals become moments of optimism, comfort, and shared enjoyment.

In Japanese culture, food has long been associated with wishes for success and positive energy. Tonkatsu, whose name katsu also means “victory,” has traditionally been enjoyed before important occasions and moments of challenge. Drawing from this cultural association, the façade and interior walls incorporate an original lattice pattern inspired by Bishamonten, the Japanese deity associated with protection and triumph.

Natural wood, plaster finishes, and delicately layered latticework create an open and welcoming atmosphere that balances Japanese tradition with contemporary simplicity. Designed for a wide range of guests—from families gathering together to individuals dining alone—the restaurant feels approachable, comfortable, and full of positive energy inspired by the Japanese tradition of good fortune.
